Ryan Park MP has congratulated his nominee Alison Covington on her nomination as a finalist in the 2020 NSW Women of the Year Awards.

Ms Covington has been nominated for the Business Woman of the Year category.
Passionate about equality and reducing waste, Alison founded Good360 Australia because she saw a gap in the market where businesses did not have a solution to donate surplus brand-new, non-perishable goods to Not for Profits and eligible schools.

Since 2015, Alison has been responsible for businesses donating more than $100 million of goods and matching 10 million items to over 1,600 Not for Profits and schools across Australia.

Mr Park announced Alison as the Keira Woman of the Year and then nominated her in the 2020 NSW Woman of the Year Awards.

“Alison is an extraordinary woman who has made a significant difference to our community as well as wider society,” Mr Park said.

“She is an innovator, and social entrepreneur who has a genuine want to help Australians less fortunate.

“I am very proud that we have a local woman as a finalist in these prestigious awards and I am urging everyone to jump online and vote.”

Alison Covington, Founder and Managing Director of Good360 Australia, says she is honoured to receive this recognition.

“Growing up and still living in the Illawarra, I have so much pride for the community spirit we have for each other. Through Good360 I am able to give back to many of our schools and hard-working Not for Profits. Each time we do this I am thrilled that it is going back to my hometown and benefitting local people where I live, school children and helping our community thrive.”
