NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Nationals Leader John Barilaro and their predecessors have short-changed Rural and Regional NSW by more than $230 million in the last four years.
Against its own policy of committing 30 per cent of Restart NSW funds to the regions, the Liberal-National Government has failed to do so for the last three years (see Restart NSW Fund Financial Report extracts below).
In three out of the four years that Restart NSW has been operational, only a meagre 23.6 per cent of the funds have made it to Rural and Regional NSW.
The Liberal-National Government has spent a total of $3.6 billion as part of Restart NSW - $1 billion of that should have gone to the regions.
Instead they’ve only seen $860 million, meaning Regional NSW has been short changed by more than $230 million.
