NSW RFS have our full support and full confidence, as they do the tough job of fighting fires and protecting our communities on the NSW South Coast. Most are volunteers and we owe them a debt that can’t be repaid.
Labor urges people to listen, and follow the advice of emergency services to avoid travel to the South Coast this weekend.
It’s not worth the risk to you, your family or the fire-fighters who will be sent to save you.
The time will come when the South Coast rebuilds from this disaster when your tourism in this beautiful corner of our State will make a big difference and support local businesses - but that time is not now.
For those people in the area make sure you follow your bush fire survival plan, if you’re planning to evacuate don’t wait until the last minute. Most importantly please stay safe and don’t take unnecessary risks.
